Now I know how NoAh felt.

It hasn't stopped raining all day. One good thing about the rain is that it's helped to cool down the air. I can sleep relatively dry tonight as I'm still without a fan.

I went downstairs earlier to help Ma'am A out the car and I saw that the street was inundated. I saw children playing in the wake of the passing vehicles.

Fan down, fAn down...

We have a black fan down!

A sorry state of affairs. Around madaling araw the fan stopped working.

time after midnight and before sunrise.

I didn't realize this until I woke up and the bedsheets were saturated. Perhaps that's an exaggeration, damp would be a better description. The humidity caused by the incessant rain overnight felt like I had spent a considerable time in a sauna.

GotchA!

There is a term here. It is called 'botcha'. Double dead.

As to how you can die after you are already dead is beyond me. Perhaps it is the reincarnation cycle gone wrong. You die and get reincarnated straight into the maws of death. Fish out luck.

5 advantages of being a yAyo.

Here are several reasons why being a yayo is awesome.

1. I can sleep during the day. (Siestas aren't for A only.)

2. I can catch up on missed episodes of Glee.

Move out of the wAy.

someone or something under the care of another.

To avoid getting myself into strife down the track, I shall call refer to my alaga as 'A', her parents as Ma'am A and Sir J.

Ma'am A and Sir J are decent enough people. Quiet, hard working and trusting people that just needed someone to look after their child. Ma'am A, a senior government worker and Sir J, an entrepreneur had had several yayas but due to personal reasons none lasted longer than 6 months.

I explained to them my personal experiences in the [censored]

G'day in Tagalog.

So here I am. The Philippines. Pearl of the Orient. My country of birth. It's been a while since I've been here. 20 plus years in fact.
